## The Challenge

Every grocery box and meal Nourish Neighbors delivers is billed to Medicaid, so each member needs active coverage when the food goes out. Medicaid coverage can lapse at renewal with little warning, and the team was facing roughly 30,000 eligibility checks a month. Checking members one at a time in a payer portal couldn’t keep pace, and every delivery to a member whose coverage had lapsed was food the program couldn’t bill for.
