Your admissions team can now pick Evernorth by name in VerifyTreatment (VerifyTX). When a patient’s card says Evernorth, select it and run the verification the same way you would for any other payer, with no guessing about which option to choose.
Evernorth is the health services division of The Cigna Group, and it covers a large share of behavioral health and substance use benefits. Many patients and staff still know it as Cigna Behavioral Health, while newer member cards carry the Evernorth name, and that mix of names can slow down intake.
Previously, Evernorth members were verified by selecting Cigna. That still works. Now your admissions team can also match what’s printed on the card and select Evernorth without stopping to figure out which payer applies.
You’ll get the same benefit breakdown you’re used to, including behavioral health and substance use coverage where the payer returns it.
